What is Dual Enrollment | Dual Enrollment

At Santa Rosa Junior College we are dedicated to helping high school students throughout our district achieve college and career readiness. In partnership with local high schools, we are striving to support students' needs by:

Developing seamless pathways from high school to community college for Career & Technical Education programs;
Increasing students' preparation to transfer to four-year colleges and universities starting in high school;
Supporting high school graduation rates by offering students opportunities to enroll in college prep courses.\

All college coursework is governed by the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) which allows the release of academic information, including grades, to the student only – regardless of age. Academic information is not released to parents or third parties without the consent of the student.

At Santa Rosa Junior College dual enrollment is offered in four pathways for students to earn college credit while still in high school

Dual Enrollment at Santa Rosa Junior College Students enroll and attend a class on a SRJC campus, with approval from their high school.	High School Dual Enrollment Courses Students enroll in a SRJC course offered on a high school campus during school hours and taught by a high school faculty member who meets the state Chancellor's minimum qualifications for college faculty. The faculty uses the college's course outline of record to teach the course. These courses are restricted and are only open to high school students
Credit by Exam Students pass college course final, receive a grade and credit for the course. High School faculty teach these courses at the high school level.
